Kittitas County, Washington, JUL. 2024- A brand-new campground retail store has opened at Lake Kachess for the entire camping season. Local seasonal jobs are being offered, and the campground is expecting to reduce the traffic on the I-90 corridor now that a full range of supplies will be available near the lake recreation area.
“In addition to all of our campers, local cabin owners will also benefit from a wide range of products available in our new store here at the lake,” said ExplorUS District Manager, Tim Clark.
Camping and hiking items, sweatshirts and hats, a souvenir of your adventures, snacks, sodas, drinks, candy, water, ice, games and toys, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug repellent will all be available at the new store. On busy weekends, it is a five-mile trip to I-90, and then another 30 miles to the nearest store, and in bumper-to-bumper traffic, the round trip can take as much as four hours out of a camper’s weekend at the lake. “We are excited to offer a win-win solution to that inconvenience, and help our visitors take maximum advantage of their time here at the lake,” said Mr. Clark.
