Springfield, IL – ExplorUS, a hospitality management company specializing in America’s most beautiful parks, is excited to announce their grand re-opening of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum gift shop.
First opened to the public in 2005, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum stands as a premier destination, renowned for its unique exhibits and rich historical significance. Spanning an impressive 200,000 square feet, equivalent to twice the area of a typical Manhattan city block, the library provides a myriad of extraordinary experiences, curated galleries, and inspiring theatre performances.
Pioneered as one of the first major “Experience Museums” in the world, history at the library is not reduced to words on a page or items locked behind glass- it is an immersive adventure wherein guests get to be a part of key moments from our 16th president’s life, from his boyhood to his presidency.
ExplorUS was awarded a contract to manage the museum’s gift shop, the company’s fourth Illinois property, back in February a few days following Mr. Lincoln’s birthday- much to the exhilaration of staff and management.

Accessible to all, with or without museum admission, ExplorUS’s re-imagined gift shop provides elements of both old and new. Retaining the same dedicated staff, the shop still features its signature top hats and distinctive design, while also introducing an array of fresh merchandise and an all-new online shopping platform coming soon.

The gift shop officially reopened at 11:30 a.m. on June 27th and operates daily from 9am – 5pm. A ribbon cutting ceremony is currently in the works, as well as several other improvements.
